Today I want to talk about something that was actually inspired by a t-shirt. If you’re around me enough you know that I wear all shorts of t-shirts. I’m wearing t-shirts almost all the time. I’ll wear quite a few of that are Harley t-shirts. I’ll wear some that are spiritual t-shirts. I wear a lot of Hawaii t-shirts because Hawaii is near and dear to my heart, and this one was inspired by one of the spiritual t-shirts.

Part of the phrase that was on the t-shirt the final phrase was, “What you imagine you create.” There’s other versions of this in the world. “If you think it you can do it.” “If you can imagine its yours to have.” All of phrases are so very true, you only have to believe that they are. It’s frequently doesn’t come without some manner of bumps and bruises. Where you have to pick yourself up off the pavement and start all over again along the way. I know you can do it. I believe in you. But, YOU have to believe in you. That’s what it comes down to.

Believe in yourself. Figure out what you want to make happen. What you want to create. Then set your plan in motion. You will have to make adjustments on the way. Very rarely does any creator or inventor create their best and greatest creation the first time out of the gate. Very frequently they fail the first time, the second time, third time, etc. One of my favorite quotes of all time comes from Thomas Edison, where he says, “I never failed. I just found 10,000 ways not to invent a light bulb.”

There’s so many beautiful things out of that phrase. This is what we’re talking about here. That failure is part of the process. And, whether you call it failure or not, it is definitely a learning opportunity. There’s no positive there’s no negative to it. It’s just something that happens that helps you learn, and progress, and grow. You will also notice that his phrasing means everything. How he’s not willing to be defeated by his failures. What most of us would call failures, he’s not going to be owned by it. He’s not going to name it a failure he is going to make it his and he’s going to own it. He’s going to own the lessons in it.

That alone is a key phrase on your way to creating whatever you imagine. Those of you that are artists out there in the crowd, if you’re an artist you know that that phrase is true. What you imagine you create. That’s what artists do so beautifully and we are all artists if we just get out of our own damn way. It’s not always easy. I’ve had to go through my own process of getting out of my way. The things that happen now in my life are just absolutely brilliant. And, I’m not saying that they’re brilliant because I’m brilliant. I’m saying that they’re brilliant because the world is figuring out how to work with me and I am figuring out how I can work with the world. It’s just amazing the things that are happening in my life right now.

Figure out what you can imagine, and what you can create, and your life is going to take a turn for the better.
